County Chief Visits Kaili Heavy Industry for Inspection and Guidance

On April 16, 2026, the County Mayor of Liangshan led a delegation to Shandong Kaili Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. for a special inspection, conducting an in-depth study of the company’s production and operations as well as the progress of its internationalization strategy. As a benchmark enterprise within the Liangshan Special-Purpose Vehicle Industrial Cluster, Kaili Heavy Industry has earned high praise from the County Mayor for its world-leading capabilities in manufacturing export-oriented semi-trailers and for its innovative achievements.
The county leadership delegation first toured the trailer production line, which can be customized to different side-wall heights to meet the demands of markets in Africa, the Middle East, and other regions. Particular attention was paid to the company’s achievements in expanding into overseas markets. In 2025, Kelly Heavy Industries completed the construction of a specialized commercial-vehicle industrial park in Nigeria, establishing a localized production and service network that spans the African continent. Meanwhile, the company’s R&D center, in collaboration with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and other institutions, has launched a “Lightweight Semi-Trailer Structural Optimization Project,” which has reduced the vehicle’s curb weight by 15% and improved fuel efficiency by 12%.
During the inspection, the county magistrate fully endorsed the enterprise’s development model of “technology-driven innovation combined with global expansion,” emphasizing that Kaili Heavy Industry, as a flagship player in Liangshan’s specialized vehicle industry “leading the way overseas,” has set a benchmark for the county’s manufacturing sector through its state-of-the-art production lines, internationally oriented industrial parks, and robust industry–university–research collaboration mechanisms. He encouraged the company to further deepen technological innovation, expand exports of high-end products, and contribute to Liangshan’s efforts to build a specialized-vehicle industrial cluster worth hundreds of billions of yuan.
